Tayau Beachfront Condo: Terms of Service & House Rules
This document outlines the terms and conditions for renting the Tayau Beachfront Condo. By accepting a reservation, all guests agree to comply with these terms.
1. Booking and Payment
- An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required to secure a reservation.
- The remaining balance is due in full 30 days prior to arrival, unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon.
- Payments must be made via E-transfer.
2. Damage Deposit
- A damage deposit of $500 CDN is required and must be paid via E-transfer at the time of booking.
- This deposit is not applied toward the rental rate.
- The deposit is fully refundable within seven (7) days of departure, provided the following conditions are met:
- No damage is done to the unit or its contents, and no items are missing.
- All debris, rubbish, and discards are placed in the designated dumpster. Soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned to prevent pests.
- No linens are lost or damaged.
- The renter is not evicted by the owner, property manager, local law enforcement, or building security.
3. Cancellations
- Cancellations made prior to 30 days before arrival will be fully refunded.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival.
- No refunds will be given for early departure from the unit for any reason.
- Weather-Related Policy: No refunds will be issued for cancellations due to weather events like hurricanes or storms. We strongly suggest guests purchase an after-market travel insurance policy to cover trip cancellation.
4. Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in time is after 4:00 p.m. CST.
- Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. CST.
- Early check-in or late check-out is not permitted unless pre-arranged with the owner.
5. Occupancy and Conduct
- Maximum occupancy is limited to six (6) persons. Any unauthorized overnight guests will immediately terminate the rental agreement without a refund and may incur additional charges.
- Minimum Age: A minimum age of 30 is required for renting.
- Non-Smoking Unit: This is a strictly non-smoking unit. This includes vaping of any kind.
- No Pets: Pets are not permitted in the rental unit.
- The designated contact person is responsible for the actions of all guests and must ensure that all guests have read and will adhere to these house rules.
6. Property Rules
- No Daily Maid Service: While linens and bath towels are included, daily maid service is not. Additional cleaning can be arranged for a fee. Do not remove towels or linens from the unit, with the exception of beach towels, which must be returned.
- Parking: Onsite parking is limited to designated areas only. Illegally parked cars are subject to towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.
- Falsified Reservations: Any reservation obtained under false pretenses is subject to forfeiture of all payments, and the party will not be permitted to check in.
7. Waivers of Responsibility
- The homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur on the premises or within its facilities. This includes the use of any equipment in the condo or bodega.
- The homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.
- By accepting this reservation, all guests expressly assume the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises and/or facility equipment, or from the use by anyone they invite to the property.
